The Rembrandt square is located behind the Amstel
River, and one minute away from the Kalverstraat,
the longest and most visited shopping street.
Amsterdam central Station is 10 minutes away from
this main square by public transport. Tram lines
4 and 9 do stop on this enormous square. The sister
square Leidse square is located 10 minutes from
the Rembrandt square.

The momentum Rembrandt square was established
in the 19th century, on the spot which was previously
known as Botermarkt. In several of years, luxurious
buildings were raised on this square, like the Schiller
hotel and Grand Café De Kroon. Nowadays the Rembrandt
square serve as a popular entertainment square. Beside
a lot cafe's with huge terraces, you will find
several discotheques, snack bars and lunchrooms.
The well known discotheques, ESCAPE, COOLDOWN CAFÉ
and the IT are located on this square. During the
weekend these three discotheques have enormous amount
of visitors.

has been a fact in the Dutch nightlife
since 1987. Exclusive parties, music,
light, decoration: all faces of a progressive
club venue. On Thursday nights its Rush,
on Saturday nights it's Chemistry and
on Sunday nights it's Impact!.
The club is large, with a capacity of
over 2000.
Each "club night" at Escape
runs its own membership program.
